Nimbus Station Racing Tips!

Hi Everyone!

Since most of you know that next month will be all about racing competitions, I made a video on some of the skills that I use to help me get first place (Before they erased the scores, I had a 15-1 win-loss ratio). These are some good tips that will really help you take some seconds off your time. Most of them are obvious, but some of them are new. Enjoy!

How to build a chassis!

In order to make a good race car, you first will need a chassis. The chassis is the basis of all the other car parts. In order to have a car, you have to have the chassis! Check out this note from Velocity Lane explaining how to build your own at home, on your property, or in LDD.

It's all about teamwork!

Teamwork seems to be a pretty big part of being successful in Lego Universe. In order to boost your abilities you need to learn how to work as a team. You should also be careful about who your pick to be on your team (but dont purposefully exclude someone). The people you have on your team can make a big difference on how long you last. Team members can support each other by regenerating armor, health, and imagination. Remember though, only certain factions can regenerate a certain type of stat point so this is where choosing wisely comes in. Soon, the developers claim that there will be a whole new set of abilities to use while battling as a team. Some of them include boosting the whole teams running speed, and keeping enemies locked up in a certain position. How cool would that be?

Sorting Models in your Backpack

Have you ever wanted to quickly get to a model without going through every single other model?

Here’s how you can:
1. First, open your backpack.
2. Then you have to go to your models tab
3. Click the “+” in the left hand corner of your backpack.
4. After that, click the tiny “+ Add New” at the bottom of the orange screen, and you’ll get to name your new group of models.
5. Drag the models you need from your backpack into your new bucket.
6. Now you have a new bucket that you can use to quickly find your models.

And if you want to organize even more of your models, just do this process again. It's not that hard!

Lego Universe Flag Locations (Avant Gardens)

A guide to where all the flags are in Avant Gardens:

  1. Behind the landing pad when you first enter Avant Gardens.
  2. By the Paradox Research Facility. Close to where the broken robot is lying.
  3. In the corner of a destroyed building. The building is in a little battle area to the left and behind of Epsilon Starcracker.
  4. This flag is in the Spiderling's nest behind one of the rocks by the fog.
  5. On one of the ledges near the green path on the monument. Try running up the entire green path and you will find it. It's in plain sight.
  6. This one is a little trickier. Near the green path jump pad, look around until you see a smashable wall in the monument. Jump on the tallest step closest to you and jump to the ledge that its on, then smash the wall.
  7. Take the yellow path until you get to the minifigures head, then go along his right arm (the one with the sword) until you get to his hand. The flag will be there.
  8. To get this flag, all you need to do is go along the orange path until you collect the flag in midair.
  9. By the orange caution posts at the end of the road near the finish line of the monument.
  10. The last one is behind the monkey sitting on the table. The monkey is in the launch zone that takes you to Nimbus Station.

Quick Money Making Tips for Lego Universe

Here is a list of the top fastest ways to make some big money in Lego Universe. The Red Imaginite one has been deleted because the developers decided to change the game economy a while back. Sorry for any inconvenience this has made. I am not responsible for making you lose coins while in the process of doing one of the suggestions. You are taking a risk by using these methods.

Enjoy!

1. Smashing Named Enemies
Roo Morgg used to be a great spot to collect rares and sell them later. You can still do that, although it will take a lot more time. The developers have drastically changed the chance of getting rares from Roo Morgg, making it much harder. The spot is still excellent for gathering coins dropped by Roo Morgg. The ape usually drops between 400-500 coins per smash, and this can really add up over a while.

2. Smashing Stromling Apes
Stromling Apes are currently only found in the Gnarled Forest, although with the release of Crux Prime tomorrow (YAY!) you can also find more powerful versions of them there. By just quick building the anchor that lies near them, you can gain up to 300 coins per ape. This also leads to a series of achievements that can eventually get you the ultimate weapon in Lego Universe. The Elite Force Blade Of Lightning!

3. Selling/Trading rare items
If you have found a rare item that you don't think you need, or maybe even an elite weapon, you can get other people to pay a way over the top price for it. There have been elites that were sold for over 15,000 coins. Also, items like the santa beard and the king's crown, have gone for 25,000. So if you are the lucky type of person who can get lots of rare items but doesn't really need them, try selling them to somebody else who take it.

How to Survive in Survival

Ever wondered how to get a good survival time? Here is a good tip that will add at least 1 minute and 30 seconds to your time. There is an area where you are safe from stromlings until the robots come along. Watch the video for a visual explanation.

NOTE:
If the video freezes, pause it and wait for maybe 20-25 seconds. If that still does not work, your web browser may not have a fast enough connection.

Easy Faction Tokens

A lot of people have been asking the question, "How can I rank up easily?" so here are some tips on getting Faction Tokens.

1) Smashing Spiderlings (Avant Gardens Cave)
I have marked this as the number one way to get quick Faction Tokens because this is the one that has worked most for me. In less than 30 min. straight of battling them, I racked up 80 tokens, enough to get rank 2 and still have 5 left over. They drop 1 (maybe 2) for every 2 that you smash.

2) Admirals and Stromling Pirates (Gnarled Forest)
Smashing Admirals and Pirates in the Gnarled Forest is another easy way of getting Faction Tokens. Here, in 30 min. I got up to 60 tokens. Once I even gained 10 tokens in 1 min. 39 seconds exact. ;)

3) Dark Ronin (Forbidden Valley)
This a great way to get tokens...if you have the armor and weapon capabilities. Sure, you can go in with a normal 1+1+1 shortsword, but its not a guarantee you wont lose a couple coins from getting smashed.
