April Contest Calendar!

Hi Everyone!

Ready for some awesome new contests this month? You better be, because there will a whole bunch of new contests. Remember how March was nicknamed "Battle Month" because of all of the battle themed challenges? April is now "Racing Month"! Get ready to race your heart out around the Lego Universe worlds to compete to win awesome prizes. Want to see exactly which contest will be coming and when? Check out the list below:

April 1 – April 30 Build a Race Car!
The April monthly contest will shoot us off to a flying start! Submit a picture of your finest race car to Creation Lab – whether you’ve built it in LEGO Universe, in LEGO Digital Designer or at home on your living room floor. Later this week we will post instruction on how to build a chassis for inspiration, but remember: anything goes, as long as it looks legendary! Up for grabs are LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT 2.0 Sets.

April 9 – April 10 Vertigo Loop Racetrack Grand Prix
Many Minifigures know the Nimbus Station racetrack like their own backyard, so competition is going to be fierce! Tip: Get under your fellow racers by placing yourself on the inside of a sharp turn, brake by hitting Shift and make a ninja-fast inside pass! Win LEGO World Racers for your efforts.

April 16 – April 17 Keelhaul Canyon Racetrack Grand Prix
Fill your mirrors with Minifigures in hot pursuit on the Gnarled Forest racetrack! Watch out for Maelstrom whirlwinds and infected crates, and rooster tails of dirt from the Cars in front. Friendly pushing and shoving is allowed! LEGO Creator cars are at stake!

April 23 – April 24 Race Car Screenshot Contest
Snap a screenshot of your best moment on the tracks and submit it to Creation Lab. Or show us the most rocking race car you’ve assembled in-game! The 20 best submissions will win dizzying LEGO Ninjago prizes such as the Turbo Shredder and Nuckal’s ATV!

April 30 – May 1 Mystery Racetrack Grand Prix
You will be pushing the pedal to the metal somewhere in LEGO Universe... The location is still unknown, but stay posted on LEGOuniverse.com/community! For now, rest assured - it is not going to be easy, but it will be fun! LEGO City Sets will be yours if you win!

"Unknown Soldier"-LUMV

The latest music video production from Zorkonian12 Production Studios. This video is a combination of self-recorded and pre-recorded videos. I also experimented with a few more effects to add to the video. I hope you like them! (Not all of the song was used in this video)

Music: "Unknown Soldier"-Breaking Benjamin

Lyrics and Song here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKraLVrGzys

Video not showing? Don't worry, on the worst days it will usually take up 45 seconds to load. Sorry for the inconvience.

The Mysterious Floating Coin...

Earlier today (around 3:00 PM) I was walking through the caverns of Avant Gardens when a coin just pops up above my head. I had never heard of this glitch before so I stopped to take a picture at the Avant Garden launch area for proof of it happening. It was there that I discovered it looks exactly like the vendor coins that float above THEIR heads. Pretty cool huh?

I also decided to play some sort of prank on people who came by, by sitting down near all of the other vendors and doing nothing else. 2 or 3 people actually came up to me in an attempt to buy goods. haha!

I wanted to go show the usual large crowd in Nimbus Station the glitch (and see if it had been found before) but apparently using the rocket gets rid of the glitch... :( I didn't get a chance to really show anybody, but it was still cool while it lasted.

Have you had this experience before? If you have, tell people about it in the comments section.

The Battle of Nimbus Station Needs You! Again!

The developers have brought back a contest used earlier this month! The Battle Of Nimbus Station Contest. Same rules, same game, different prizes. If you didn't win last time, now is your chance for payback (or something like that)! Play in the epic battle this weekend to show your skills and luck. The prizes are worth trying for.

Here is the official article straight from Lego's Community Site:

So you proved in the last Battle of Nimbus Station that you can take on a few Stromlings. And the occasional Stromling Mech. And maybe even a Dark Spiderling or two. But how about the dreaded Hammer Stromling Murgle Blotch, or the almighty Maelstrom Ape Kinga Hurl? Show what you are made of, team up with your fellow Nexus Force combatants and have a rematch with all the Maelstrom infected creatures in the Battle of Nimbus Station this weekend!
Let’s end Battle Month in LEGO Universe with a big Ka-Pow of a battle! This weekend, March 26 and March 27, finish 29 waves of enemies in the Battle of Nimbus Station mini-game for a chance to win some smashing LEGO Castle and LEGO Kingdoms prizes!
Granted, you are not time travelling all the way back to the Middle Ages, but time-twist your way to the Battle of Nimbus Station, and defend Nimbus Station against the Maelstrom onslaught!
Winning will be based on a combination of skill and luck. Make it through 29 waves of Maelstrom in the Battle of Nimbus Station mini-game to qualify. We will randomly draw 20 players from everyone who qualifies, across all three servers (Overbuild, Storm and Exeter).

Are you ready for this?

It's all about teamwork!

Teamwork seems to be a pretty big part of being successful in Lego Universe. In order to boost your abilities you need to learn how to work as a team. You should also be careful about who your pick to be on your team (but dont purposefully exclude someone). The people you have on your team can make a big difference on how long you last. Team members can support each other by regenerating armor, health, and imagination. Remember though, only certain factions can regenerate a certain type of stat point so this is where choosing wisely comes in. Soon, the developers claim that there will be a whole new set of abilities to use while battling as a team. Some of them include boosting the whole teams running speed, and keeping enemies locked up in a certain position. How cool would that be?

For more information on fighting with teams, click on this link here. Have fun!
